Daddy missed his boys

I took the boys out of town for Thanksgiving since Charlie had to work.
It's the second time I've taken them both out of town without him.

We were gone 3 days but he didn't get to see them until 9pm the 4th day.
And he obviously missed them.

As soon as he got home Wes came running in the living room to see him.
{The 2nd night gone Wes asked to go home because he missed daddy}
And Charlie showered him in kisses and hugs and told him how much he missed him & Wes returned all of the love.

Then he turned his loving to Oliver who was in his jumperoo. Charlie scooped him up and sat down and started kissing him until he was aggravated.

I really don't think he even saw me even when he came in the kitchen to bring me the buns he had picked up at the store on the way home.

We let Wes stay up a little later then usual {he has a 10pm bedtime} and he stayed up until 11. I asked Charlie who was holding a sleeping Oliver to put Wes in bed.

Now Charlie is a dad that doesn't mind a baby in the bed.
And I'm fine with that b/c I love to snuggle up to one or both of my boys from time to time at night.
Any time either boy is even the slightest bit sick or when Oliver gets shots that don't settle well the 1st thing Charlie says is that they are sleeping with us and snuggles them close all night.

Well that night he asked if Wesley could sleep in our bed.
I had just had to sleep with both the boys in a bed for 3 nights and I hadn't gotten much sleep due to Wesley tossing and turning and Oliver waking up looking for his paci, so I said no.
He kept on and kept on and I told him if he wanted to sleep with them so bad he could sleep in their room with them.

Wes came up about that time and said "Come on daddy! You can sleep in my bed if you want..." in the sweetest little boy voice you can imagine.
Melt your heart sweet

So he did.

I figured when I didn't see him again that he had taken them in our room anyways. So when I got up to go to bed I couldn't help but laugh when I walked by the boys room and saw all 3 of them asleep in Wesley's twin sized car bed.

By no means is this the 1st time Charlie has slept in the car bed.
Any time Wes asks he does.
Or he'll go in there just to lay with him and fall asleep.
Charlie can fall asleep ANYWHERE at ANYTIME!

I also have to add that the 3 of them are HEATERS in their sleep.
All 3 get SUPER hot and sweat like pigs!
It's gross really.
I never even knew babies could sweat until Wesley came along and was sweating at night.
Before Oliver there was 1 time I slept between Wes and Charlie when Wes had climbed in our bed in the middle of night and it was a wet, nasty experience lol.
So just imagine the sweaty hotness that occurs when the 3 of them sleep together all covered up!
Yuck.
hahahahah

Oliver is probably the worse sweater.
There have been times that he's fallen asleep on me and I'd move him from my arm and the sweat would run down it! And none of it was mine. It's not even hot in the house! It's insane really lol

You can tell Charlie had put them to bed too... Oliver was wearing pants and no shirt.. typical lol.
And Charlie looked like he didn't intend on staying in there as he was still fully dressed.
I tried to wake him up as I was going to bed {which is a task within itself} and he said he wanted to sleep in there, so I took off his glasses and put them on the dresser and kissed them all goodnight.

The next morning he came in our room asking me why I didn't wake him up to come to bed....
Again Typical lol.

4 years of love

Wesley is one of a kind.
Really he is.
And I can not believe he is 4 already! It seems like just yesterday I was being told to "come back to the hospital at 5pm to be induced". And almost 26hrs after arriving he was FINALLY here!
He's still just as perfect today as he was the 1st time I laid eyes on him.

He has THE BEST personality of any child I know.
He's hilarious and has some really good timing.

He's a lover to all people.
He "loves everybody under the rainbow!"
He's our kissing bandit.
Our pride and joy.
His daddy & I love him SO much and feel SO blessed to have been chosen to be his parents.
Oliver has no idea just how lucky he is to have gotten the best big brother ever!

He loves him some:
No Technology Day
Knock Knock jokes
Going to the park
Computer games
Action figures
Telling stories
Board games
Toy Story
Cartoons
Orange
Money
Babies
Legos
Fruit
Food
Math

He LOVES Math!
Charlie is ridiculous at Math. We're talking slept through math in HS and still made an A, then the next year as put in advanced math, again slept and made an A, and lets not to forget to mention college where he only attended on Test days and guess what... made an A.. one of the only ones he made in college lol.
He's doing basic Math... adding and subtracting... up to 10 right now.
The stuff he can count on his fingers.
And we have a puzzle math game that he loves to play.

He's constantly telling Knock Knock Jokes.
One of his faves is:

"Knock knock"
"Who's there"
"Annie"
"Annie who?"
"Annie body seen my underwear???"
And he goes on and on and adds different clothing items.

He loves the classic Orange you glad I didn't say Banana too.

He loves for you to tell him stories... any story. He doesn't care. And he can come up with some pretty good ones himself.

We're lucky he is such a good eater! He's not very picky and we never have to make anything different for him unless we're eating Chili. He loves green beans but we still have to MAKE him eat them which is weird lol. But that's about the only vege we can get into him... everything else he says is "too green" lol. So we're working on sneaking that in.

Not such a fan of:
Anything that makes loud noises!
He's still scared of the vacuum and spike the dinosaur.
Which I can feel him on the dinosaur I was terrified of an Alf doll as a kid
He's not a big fan of chocolate. O_o
I know right... He's different
He prefers fruit to anything like that... including his birthday cake.
Bad smells.
Slimey things.
Bugs.

He gets grossed out pretty easily. For instance when we were doing pumpkins... I thought he'd love helping pull out the insides. Yeah.right. He was completely grossed out and kept yelling "I'm going to throw up!! I'm not even kidding!!!" He's hilarious.
Anytime I'm changing Oliver's diaper he runs away screaming "Ewwww! I don't want to smell that!!!" lol

We have to warn him anytime the vacuum is coming out. Otherwise he'll have a panic attack! Ever since he had the hearing problems as a baby from daycare he's hated the vacuum and anything loud. Say a car back firing or the other day the washing machine was making a banging noise and here he comes running. However, he's not afraid of thunder.

And the quickest way to get him up the stairs is to tell him there is a bug behind him! He's up the stairs in no time flat!
Which he gets honest from both of his parents haha.

I wonder how much he'll hate the nickname Booba when he's older... which usually get's shortened to Boob. bahahahah. It is what I've called him since day one almost... I think it's here for good lol

I love you big and big booba!
You make my heart feel super happy :)

This week's contest at I heart faces is all about Orange.

Love that kid. :)

Matchy Matchy

Since November 10th 2009, the day we found out that Wes was going to have a little brother I couldn't wait to get them in matching PJ's!

They've had 1 matching outfit too and somehow never managed to get their picture taken in them other then one I have on my phone.

I've just been anxiously awaiting Oliver to get big enough for 'big boy pj's' and as soon as he was their 1st pair of matching PJ's were bought.

Buzz Lightyear of course :)

Then yesterday Wes and I had a little outting alone and I let him pick them out a new pair of PJ's.
If you guessed they were anything other then Sponge Bob you don't know my child :D

There is nothing I love more then these kids in matching PJ's. Other then the kids themselves. I don't know what it is but they are just so cute!!

<3 those boys so much!

Seven months...

It's been 7 months since I had Oliver.
S-E-V-E-N!
7!

It just goes by too fast.

He has gotten so big! & is 16lbs 4oz & 25 1/2in

He's so handsome.
At times, SO fussy!
 And so silly.

We've had a rough month this past month with him. There has been LOTS of screaming (I swear our neighbors probably think we beat him), lots of squirming, puking, holding and soothing, and just lots of uncomfortableness. :\

But as of right now it seems as though it was a situation where it had to get worse to get better.
{knock on wood. *knock knock*}

In the last week his spitting up had reduced by more then 75% so in the last couple of days I've stopped putting cereal in his bottles all together and he has stopped spitting up!! Thats HUGE!!

He's so much happier and the rest of his belly issues are getting much MUCH better!
I'm so excited for him!

He is SO happy all day...
Once the sun goes down and it's time for bed for the night...
not.so.much.

He still doesn't sleep through the night.
He just hates to sleep.
He's up at least twice usually. Unless we let him sleep with us.
Which we don't do very often.

His 1st tooth popped through right after he turned 6months! Soon you'll be able to see it! And that thing is SHARP!
He likes to chew on the back of his pacies and one day I picked up one of his pacies and was like 'what happened?? It looks like it's been run over!'
He puts scrapes into the plastic and scrapes the pictures it's so sharp lol.

He rode his 1st carousel during Wes' bday celebration (3 times)

He's still barrel rolling all across the floor to get where he wants to go and boy is he FAST!
He's a huge fan of shoes... Eating shoes that is.
Eating anything really
He thinks any toy Wes is playing with he should be able to play with too.
And he thinks any drink or food you have he should be able to have too and will fuss at you and get so mad because he can't have it.
He loves to fuss and yell at people.
He gets all tensed up and grunts at you and its hilarious!
He keeps me laughing

He's cranky.
Doesn't sleep much.
And screams all day long some days.
But he's mine... all mine... (well I do have to share him with Wes) and I love him deeply.
And we have a great amazing bond.
I wouldn't trade him for the world.

Wesley's birthday {a 2 day celebration}

Wes had the best birthday any kid could ask for and the celebration lasted 2 days!

We asked him months ago what he wanted to do for his birthday... Birthday party or go somewhere and he said he wanted to go to the zoo and never once changed his mind.

So the celebration began at a very early 5am on 10-19 with a yummy breakfast with pink milk and a 3hr drive to the NC Zoo.

Can  you tell they were excited?? :)

We got there about 9:45am & were all excited... we haven't been there since Wes was about a 18months!

It started out with perfect weather... nice and cool with a breeze.
And then the sun came out.
And it was HOT and it was all up hill!! =O
Definitely didn't remember that part lol.
None of the adults had gotten any sleep. I think I finally fell asleep sometime after 2am.
It made for an exhausting day especially for Charlie who drove and worked until 2am the night before.

The Elephants were one of the 1st we saw and then after that a lot of the animals were ASLEEP  O_o

We rode the carousel. 3 times.
Oliver's 1st 3 times and it's also the 1st place Wes rode a carousel :D
Everyone was so tired when it was time to leave (we were there until almost 5pm) but we had SO much fun!
Day 2
"Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to Y-O-U
Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to yyooooooouuuuuuuu
This is gonna be the best day ever!"

I heard lots and lots of Spongebob singing..

We started off the morning by giving Wes his big birthday gift (he got lots of other stuff throughout the week that Daddy couldn't wait to give him lol) and obviously his card.
He loved both.

We asked Wes what he wanted to do and where he wanted to eat for lunch.
He picked the park and our favorite fish place, Bubba's.
We had a delicious lunch and then went to two different parks.
Wes had lots of fun running around with a couple of boys at the parks and Oliver loves to swing.

We went to mom's that afternoon to drop Oliver off and he opened his gifts from maw maw and Aunt Amber, we sang Happy Birthday and let him blow out the candles on his cake,
Which might I add was a 2 layer cake [confetti & devil's food] with chocolate icing & mini m&m's in the middle... any kids dream right?
Wes never even ate a piece

Then we were off to Dixie Stampede!

Amber and Ariel joined us.

While there I found out that I am allergic to horses {aaaa aaaa aaaaa CHOOOOO}
It sucked
But Wes had a blast!

We were just there a couple of months ago but we sat further back.
That night, we were front row!
He cheered and yelled and stomped his feet.
And all of his hard work paid off when it was the women's time to compete and our side won and one of the lady's gave him a carnation.
He was so proud of that flower. He wouldn't put it down.

By the end of the night he was going around singing, "It's the best day everrrrrrr" :)
And it made my heart happy to know that I had given him a great birthday.
You only turn 4 once after all.

We ended the night curled up on the couch, Wes, Charlie & myself and watched 'How to Train Your Dragons' that he got from his Aunt Amber.
It was a perfect birthday.
