Monkey is 2months!

I can't believe yet another month has past since I gave birth to the sweetest baby on Earth!

Oliver has changed our family in so many ways and in every way makes our family better, stronger, bigger (obviously), and more loving.

Our little Oliver is getting so big!
(at least to us... I was told he still looks like a newborn by our pregnant waitress Friday)
As of last night he has out grown his footed newborn nighties... its the 1st thing he's out grown so far.
He is super long with some long arms and he officially (finally) loves bath time!

Ollie is SUCH a happy baby. He smiles and coo's all day.

He loves play time in the floor with Wes and I and he's also a huge fan of his swing (which is nice it gives me time to do things with Wesley-Monster).
He still has to be swaddled as tight as you can get him for him to sleep.
He's a pretty good sleeper and wakes up smiling.
He thinks he needs to be sitting up at all times! (We'll be investing in a Bumbo very soon.)
He loves his mommy.... He'll definitely be another mama's boy... Just how I like 'em :D
And I do believe his eyes get more blue daily.

His 2 month check up and shots are June 1st and I am so excited to find out how much he really has grown.

In the last 2 months we have gotten to see even more so how loving, caring, thoughtful and protective Wesley is.... he is such an amazing child not to mention big brother (his favorite thing to be called) and we can just tell what a wonderful asset he will be to society, and one day we know he will make for a fantastic husband and father.

We must be are definitely doing something right. :)

Gorilla Dream

Every morning Wesley comes in our room, wakes me up by saying "Good morning!", climbs on the bed and asks for yogurt and cartoons and we all just hang out in bed for a while (I'm usually feeding Oliver about that time), and he starts his daily routine of loving and kissing all over his brother.

Yesterday morning he came in... said nothing and just said he needed "covers" then a pillow and was passed right back out. I was wondering why I was so tired and fell right back to sleep too. Then about an hour later I woke up to Oliver crying and saw that it was still only 8:30am.

Oliver woke Wesley up too and I asked him why he came in our bed that morning and went back to sleep and he said "Because those big black things in my room."

Of course I was like "what in the world is he talking about?!"

So I asked him more about these "black things" and he starts telling me that there were big black gorillas sleeping in his floor and they scared him and he screamed, but that mommy and daddy came in there and got the gorillas out of his room.

All day yesterday we kept having to tell him that there are NO gorillas in his room that they are all at the zoo and can't get out.

Poor kid. As far as we know this was his 1st nightmare. And Charlie had to lay down with him in his room for him to go to sleep last night. But, today he hasn't mentioned the gorillas so I think he's over it already. I guess I'll see when I put him in bed tonight.

Not over him yet...

Now that Oliver is here I don't know how many times complete strangers have said something relating to Wesley getting over being excited about Oliver...

Seriously people?! I don't even know you!

Anyways... as of today Oliver is 7 weeks!  Already!!
 I know Crazy right?!

And I think Wesley loves him more everyday!

Every morning Wesley wakes up... gets out of bed... runs in our room and instantly asks
"Where's baby OliBer?"
And as soon as he sees him he gets the biggest smile on his face he can produce...

And the kissing begins.

Wesley kisses poor little Oliver from sun up to sun down. He asks a million times a day
"Can I give him a kiss?"
I'm not sure why he asks every time but he does and of course we always tell him yes.

Wesley is such a big helper when it comes to his brother and is right by his side most all day. Oliver could not have a better brother and I hope that one day they will be
best friends.

So suck on that you negative people I don't even know. Just because your kids suck doesn't mean mine do ;)

Baby's 1st Hickey...

Yep you read that right.... Oliver gave himself a hickey today!

He was having his fave tummy time on his boppy and he was sucking on his arm and Charlie went up and picked him up and said "Oliver stop sucking on your arm before you give yourself a hickey."

Well a little while later we went to the park and I took him out of his carrier and looked down and there it was. I just started dying laughing and said "OMGosh! Honey look! He really did give himself a hickey!"

Crazy kid.
